STREAMLINE
STREAMLINE: Improving Competitiveness of European Enterprises through Streamlined Analysis of Data at Rest and Data in Motion [2016-2018]

Project description
European digital services companies need fast reactive analytics to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market. Among them are STREAMLINE partners with data originating from users who consume digital media, play games online, rely on telecommunications services, and navigate the web. Their challenges include serving 100+M users, managing 10 +TB of streaming data daily, & storing 1+PB of data-at-rest. Unfortunately, today’s solutions are inadequate due to human latency (i.e., developers need broad programming & systems skills) and system latency (i.e., the lack of data stream analytics & analytics that can jointly handle data-at-rest & data-in-motion). To meet these challenges, we will develop a high- level declarative language, simplify system architectures & develop new stream mining technologies. Our innovations will result in an open-source platform suitable for diverse stakeholders across all sectors.
Financial support
STREAMLINE is an EU funded project under the H2020 - Information and Communications Technologies - Big Data (ICT-16-2015) call.
